Entrepreneurship Options

global entrepreneurship     As India is all set to become the new industrial centre of the world, vast amounts of changes are happening all around it. The global economic downturn has taken a heavy toll on the working status of millions people worldwide, but for Indians living abroad thus far, this seems to be the ideal time to pay a visit back to the homeland. India as it is known has been consistently on the rise, with an ever increasing GDP, and the prospect of larger investments that are awaiting finalization.

Employment seems to be faring better than in other places around the world. NRIs are starting to realize their present hometown may not offer them the lucrative prosperity that it once promised. This has become a driving force that has drawn the NRI back to India. The entrepreneurship opportunities in India have broadened so much that it needs the best minds to tackle the present situation.

Successful global projects are a plenty and these are most successful in one of the many business core areas of India like Mumbai, Delhi etc. These opportunities only lure foreign investors who have seen the success of some of their competitors and want to grab a slice of the Indian market. The funding is there in India and the prospects of some truly large projects have begun surfacing even in second tier cities.

Down south in India, there are some phenomenal engineering opportunities available and the need for a truly global entrepreneur cannot be stressed enough in these situations. Companies like Larsen and Toubro etc have invested a lot of money into developing state of the art R&D facilities that will cater not only to the local market but also to the ones abroad. General Motors is also keen on centralizing its Research and development ventures in Bangalore, in the southern part of India which will mean that the scope of employment in the core areas of Engineering will be a lot more here than ever before.

There are a huge horde of software companies from the United States and European nations that have invested heavily in India to provide solutions to many of their global operations. Such ventures do have a fair share of risks that the company must overcome if it has to be successful in a country like India. The market is so unpredictable at times that the product that a company launches must satisfy every criteria of a discerning buyer else it will become a failure no matter how successful it has been worldwide.

Entrepreneurs required in India must be accustomed to every sort of situation and this is where the experience and knowledge from Indians abroad comes to the forefront. As Indians abroad one will not only have the theoretical knowledge of the west but also possess the Indian mindset and cultural values that will truly be an unstoppable force capable of overwhelming the competition in the homeland. Thus entrepreneurship opportunities are abound in India provided one is set to tackle some of the challenges and risks that are posed by it.

5 Reasons Of Bankruptcy

Mortgage Crisis     If you are dealing with crushing debt, and you’re tired of having creditors call you day and night, you might be wondering if bankruptcy is a good solution. Here are five reasons why bankruptcy might be the answer you’ve been looking for:

1) Your first priority is your family - you must place your own needs, and those of your family, over those of your creditors. It doesn’t make sense to let creditors push you into paying them if it means your family has to go without.

2) In many cases, bankruptcy will actually improve your credit. That sounds counterintuitive, I know, but consider this: One third of your credit score is based on your debt-to-income ratio, so eliminating your debt gives your score a significant boost. If you have good credit, though, bankruptcy will lower your credit score - but only temporarily. If you establish at least 4 lines of credit after bankruptcy, you should be able to raise your score to the 600s or 700s within a couple of years.

3) The concept of bankruptcy is deeply rooted in history - even back to Biblical times. The Book of Numbers required debt forgiveness every seven years; likewise, cultures throught the centuries have recognized release from debt as an element of a productive society. Even the founding fathers of the United States saw debt forgiveness as important to entrepreneurship and risk-taking - they wrote uniform bankruptcy laws into the United States Constitution!

4) The chances you will regret a bankruptcy filing are next to zero. Bankruptcy lawyers almost never hear a client say that they wish they hadn’t filed - in fact, most people will tell you that it’s the best thing they’ve ever done. Being free from overwhelming debt and nagging creditors is well worth going through the filing process.

5) You will avoid garnishments, leins, and tax levies. It’s a terrible feeling to discover that your wages have been garnished, or that your bank funds have been frozen. Bankruptcy gives you the assurance that this will never happen.

Public Profitable Domain

Public Domain     Many public domain works include (nearly) timeless and entirely relevant
information on wildly popular ‘interests’ such as making money, self-improvement, writing, playing sports, interpreting dreams, astrology, public speaking, entrepreneurship, recipes and lots more.

The information is immediately usable - for many public domain works all you need to do is to simply do some minor editing, re-package the knowledge into a medium of your liking (we’ll discuss this in more detail a little later) and then sell it. Of course, you can also produce derivative works, but the power of immediate re-usability is one of the primary reasons many people are attracted to the public domain.

There is an abundance of such information. We’re talking about publications that span over a century, and maybe even more than that when you take into account classic works that were published before copyright law even existed.

Use of a particular public domain work by someone else does not mean that you cannot use that same public domain work for your own commercial purpose. In other words, you can use the SAME public domain resources that someone else has used, and restructure them to suit your commercial venture. This is the real strength of the public domain - the information is not a resource that is ‘used up’ over time - in fact as more and more people begin to embrace the ‘free information’ movement (and the open source movement in software development), you will find that the public domain will only increase in size over time.

Public Domain works are in diverse mediums. You have software, books, instruction manuals, photographs, music and even government publications. Any and all of these mediums can be used to generate specific and different types of selling opportunities.

Public Domain works are not restricted in the format they are stored. Thus you can convert a book on interpreting dreams into an audio course, or create a website around a book on public speaking. This is more of a ‘how to profit from public domain works’ feature, but it’s important enough to note here.

There are many different reasons that public domain works are profitable. But essentially, the main reason is that they allow you to quickly and inexpensively start an ever ending info product business online with very little effort.

Entrepreneurs To Stay In Business

Starting a new business is such an exciting time in life. You’ve got an idea for a product or service that you know will be a success. All you’ve to do is make it happen. Follow these tips and you’ll be well on your way to entrepreneurship.

Business Innovation1. Find your passion in life - Do some soul searching and make sure that the business you are about to begin is your true passion in life. Why venture into doing something ‘just because’ - make it something you love to do.

2 . Research, research, research

- Take the time to do your homework. Find out all that you can about your new business, starting a business, and what kind of competition is out there. Don’t rush in to anything. Your business will only succeed if you are filling a need or a void in the marketplace.

3. Develop a solid business plan - Whether or not you need financing for your business, you still need a business plan. Many people dread this process because they make it out to be a very daunting task. Daunting or not, it’s crucial to your success. A business plan, at minimum, should be an outline of your goals and objectives for the business - attainable and reasonable goals - both strategic and financial. It can be one page, it can be twenty pages - just be sure to do it. Putting the plans that are constantly floating around in your head down on paper will make you accountable. Visit your plan often and make the necessary changes to ensure your success.

4. Develop a solid marketing plan - The marketing plan is an essential part of your business planning. You need to research your competition, analyze your strengths and weaknesses, and identify the risks, opportunities and threats posed by both internal and external factors. In doing so you can easily determine a niche market, the best way to enter the market, and how to best turn your marketing efforts into revenue.

5. Create your USP - Your USP is your Unique Selling Proposition. This is what makes you stand out from the competition. Why should people buy your product or service over the competition? Do you offer the best price? Do you have a superior product? Do you offer the best customer service? Your niche coupled with your USP and a good marketing plan can quickly position you at the forefront of the marketplace - you’ll blow the competition away.

6. Establish your external support system
- Starting a business on your own can be overwhelming. Don’t be afraid to ask for assistance when and where you need it. Draw on the resources closest to you such as family and friends. The Internet offers a number of opportunities to establish a system of peers including social networks such as Twitter, Facebook, etc., teleseminars, message boards, and discussion groups. Check out the various online and offline networking groups and associations. Chances are you have a local SBA office, Small Business Development Center, or SCORE office in your area that can be a great source of resources for starting and growing your business.

7. Communicate with your internal support system
- Without the support of those closest to you - kids, spouses, moms, dads, significant others - it can be difficult to dedicate the necessary time and resources to developing your business. By communicating your plans, goals and objectives with your internal support system you better your chances of gaining their support and getting them behind your new venture. Keep the communication lines open so that they understand what you’re going through and let them know how they can best be of help to you.

8. Give it time - Rome wasn’t built in a day, nor will your business turn a profit in a day. It takes time to build a successful business. If the phone doesn’t ring today, it will tomorrow. The key is to be ready for when it does ring. Have all the proper systems in place; be prepared to spend a little money to make some money. If one marketing technique isn’t working, try another one until you achieve the results you desire.

9. Take it serious - If you want others to take your business seriously you have to take it serious yourself. You have to give it your all and apply yourself at all times. A successful business can’t be something that you just play around with or consider it a hobby - even the IRS won’t take you seriously.

10. Reward yourself - Be sure to reward yourself for all your successes no matter how big or how small. Sooner or later all of your efforts will begin to pay off. Be proud of yourself and do a little something special just for you - you deserve it!

Micro Small Business

micro loans for small businessOne hard to target market for small business IT consulting is the “micro-small businesses”; those that have a single-digit number of PC’s - anywhere from one to nine PC’s. These micro-small businesses can provide, depending on the metro area where you’re located, $50 to $75 an hour or $75 to $90 (at the absolute most) for small business IT consulting work.

The “Micro-small” Business Environment

In small business IT consulting you need to be very aware that in this micro-small business space, when there are one to ten computers, one to ten employees, their revenue usually amounts to anywhere from $100,000 to $1 million a year in annual revenue. The big thing that defines a micro-small business is that there is no dedicated server yet.

Who’s Your Competition?

In this space, there’s a ton of competition small business IT consulting firms will contend with. This competition is willing to work for less than $50 an hour, or in some cases, zero dollars an hour. This delivers a challenge for the small business IT consulting professional.

What the Competition Has (Or Doesn’t Have) To Offer

The competition agrees to help the micro-small business with their computer problems, every once in a while of course, because they have a day job. Therefore they can’t get there as quickly as a small business IT consulting professional could.

The small business, even though their server is down, will have to wait until a week from Saturday until they can get there, but hey, the help is cheap! They work for donuts and coffee, or pizza and beer! That’s the competition for a small business IT consultant in this space.

The Bottom Line about Small Business IT consulting

Part of the reason why a small business IT consulting professional has competition in attracting micro-small business is that the company has less than ten computers, less than ten employees, doing generally less than $1 million a year in annual revenue. There’s just not enough riding on IT to invest in small business IT consulting professionals. IT just isn’t that strategically important to the company yet.

The Transition To Entrepreneurship

Home Base Business      In today’s society, more and more people are starting a home business. No longer driving to work do you have to compete with others trying to make every green light possible. Or trying to catch that time clock before you’re late. However, when you have a work at home business, there are guidelines you must follow in order to be successful.

You may have the privilege of sleeping in a bit later, but you can’t sleep the day away either. As a matter of fact, you’ll need to be more committed and focused than you’ve ever been before.

Now that you have fired your boss, you have just been drafted into that position. Whether you like it or not, you are the boss.

Some people are natural leaders and don’t seem to have much of a problem with this transition. However, there are others who depend on another to keep them in line, which is why they are usually the ones who struggle transitioning from employee to entrepreneur.

Make extra sure that you are aware of this before you fire your boss. Becoming an entrepreneur can be very rewarding. But you need to look at the whole picture rather than the outcome. Because most of the time, when you start a business from home or any where else, the starting point is the most difficult of them all.

You no longer are paid by the hour so don’t expect to be paid hourly for your days worth. You may work sixty hours a week and see no income at all. This is usually the first shock that you experience. This is also where ninety percent will drop off and declare that “owning your own business doesn’t work for them.” The truth of the matter is, they didn’t give it an honest chance to find out!

Most often times they were looking at the benefits and not the work that come before the freedom you may get if or when you remain focused and steadfast. The challenge will be: What is the main purpose for starting your business? If the answer to that question is only money, you probably won’t last too long. This is not to say that money isn’t part of the equation, but it shouldn’t be the only driving force.

There are countless of Internet gurus who has already made enough money that is no longer in it for the money. Whether it is the competitiveness or just the willingness to help others, the goal of just money is oftentimes short lived.

Being your own boss, taking breaks when you want to, sleeping in if you wish are great benefits to running your own business, but you need to build the foundation of a business if you intend for it to last any good length at all.

When you were in the job market you could hardly wait for the clock to reach five o’clock; now you are an entrepreneur wishing there were more hours in the day! The difference are similar to renting an apartment verse owning a home. There is a since of accomplishment when you own something.

The best way to go about a business is to look for ways that will help others. Yes we’ve heard it time after time, but do we really believe it? Selfishness will never get you anywhere to be proud of. What’s the big deal of making it to the top when you’re the only one there. Concentrate on helping others and doing so you will notice that you are headed in the same direction.

Starting a work at home business will take a lot of effort on your part, and sometime may seem lonesome. But when you get engaged with a community and look for ways to help, you will soon see yourself having made that transition from being a employee to an entrepreneur who is on the road to success and freedom.

Small Business Startup

Small business startups require a lot of work. You might however, be surprised by what type of work should be taking up the majority of your time. Computer consultants, when they contemplate small business startups, tend to focus on the technical aspects of the business. The rational is that they want to offer a decent service and must have great technical skills before anyone will be willing to pay them.

small business startup financing     In fact, the 90/10 Rule tells us that during small business startups, 90% of your time should be spent on direct marketing activities and only 10% on building technical skills. The type of small business startup activities to spend 90% of your time on include: prospecting lead generation going out on sales calls preparing proposals

During the small business startup phase you must be very attuned to the need for acquiring high quality clients. Every non client hour that does not have to go into administrative or organizational duties should be plowed into prospecting and networking. This can ease up a bit once you start to get beyond the small business startup phase. For now though, client generation is your priority.

The Bottom Line on Small Business Startup

For small business startups, following the 90/10 Rule is critical. Spending 90% of your time on direct marketing and business development activity versus 10% on technical skills development is a trade-off that is well worth it. There is no point gaining technical skills if you have no clients to practice them on. Small business startup is a time that will make or break your business. Put your training and certifications on hold for a while and get out meeting people and making as many contacts as possible.

The techniques I apply in my business are:

- effectively posting ads on free advertising sites

- setting up and using a blog to get continuous traffic

- using videos effectively to advertise

- creating a capture page that gets visitors to opt in

- submitting a press release to get prospects

- using a funded proposal to get money for advertising

Within two weeks of applying these techniques, I am now getting as many as 50 new qualified prospects per day.

The best part is that I did not spend much money while doing it.

Now I have the tools to grow my business without getting nickel and dimed to death.

Target Marketing Home Biz

Internet Marketing Strategies     Target marketing is a strategy not commonly used in network marketing, but it’s such a powerful tool to recruit leaders into your business. Focusing on people who have been successful in other careers and who have characteristics and skill sets that line up with your business can add people to your team who will take your opportunity and create a new success story for themselves. Look for leaders.

There are lots of different marketing strategies in the network marketing business. The direction you take is often determined by the ‘norm’ for the team that you join or the particular business and product you have chosen. Sometimes, however it is essential to ’step out of the mold’ and try new strategies that may not be the norm for your team or for your business.

It is really important not to close the door on different ways to market your business. Keep your options open and consider new methods. Some people want to be silent, not talk to anyone and generate passive income on the internet. Good luck to you, because most of those so called ‘earn millions while you sleep’ businesses and business strategies simply are bogus and don’t generate anything.

Some businesses focus on warm market (talking to friends and family), situational marketing (approaching people when you are out and about during your day), Web 2.0 (blogs, You Tube, My Space, etc.), Magazine or newspaper advertising, pay per click, and the list goes on and on. Maybe you do all of these things, but have you considered target marketing? Target Marketing is focusing on certain types of professionals whose skill sets or characteristics line up with your business. Target marketing is critical to growing your business!

For example, in network marketing there are several key characteristics that you would typically want to find in someone who could be a leader in your business. Here are some of the characteristics you want in finding leaders:
- Outgoing
- Paid on Production
- Self-motivated
- Strong communications
- Have a high tolerance for risk
- Thrive on competition
- Have goals for themselves to do more

You want to ‘recruit’ for your business just as companies recruit for key positions in their businesses. You want to focus on people who are up the socio-economic chain and who are serious about wanting a business of their own. If people are not willing to invest in your business and thus in their own future, then they are not the right people for you. Successful people are more open to opportunity. Successful people will recognize a great business opportunity when presented to them.

relationship marketing     Target marketing is a focused effort and you need to put together a program to help you do this within your organization. It isn’t hard, just takes a little time investment to put it together. Create a focus group within your team. Hold weekly conference calls to strategize and exchange ideas. Take those ideas and put together a marketing program such as phone scripts, ways to find the professionals you are looking to target, brochure(s), CD, power point presentation, custom web pages, etc. Whatever your strategy, you will need to contact prospects and ask them to review your information. You need to have your information in a form that is easy to get to them and enticing enough for them to be willing to take a few minutes of their time and review it.

Keep your focus group in place and give ‘homework’ assignments so that those in the group go away with the materials in hand and put them into action. Get back together routinely for a few weeks to get feedback and see what is working and what isn’t. Refine your program as you go along.

Target marketing is an excellent marketing strategy. It allows you to market to people who have the characteristics and skill sets needed to be successful in a network marketing business. It costs you nothing other than a little time investment. The rewards can be tremendous.

Small Business Marketing

Website for Businessman    Despite the one-man-show concept of a small business, should these biz owners regard their businesses is a narrow light so much so that it stands to jeopardize the future of their growth?

Don’t be one of those people who think that, just because their business serves locals, they don’t need a website or don’t need to promote their websites on the Internet. You’ll be missing out on a lot if you don’t promote your small business website in the Internet arena…and I am telling you why in this article. While it’s true that there is no immediate need for your small business website to reach a large audience at that point in time, here are a couple of things you might want to consider.

Your business is small now but will it be small forever?

When I came up with the idea of a bigger website, a blog and the possibility of posting articles on relevant subjects for a client of mine, this is what she said to me, “Oh, but mine is just such a small business! I don’t need all of that….and furthermore, all I have is this small little corner in the middle of no where and stuff like that”, she laughs off my idea. You would think that it’s probably a budget idea but I know for a fact that it’s not because she’s rolling around in dough while all of us out here are rolling around begging for them. The problem wasn’t money, the problem was, she felt that it was too small to warrant web presence! No business is too small to be deserving of a website or blog of their own! If a baby or a pet dog is deserving of a website or blog of its own, much less a small business!

E-commerce is always an option

With the convenience of being able to shop online catching on, some people start off their websites with complete e-commerce capabilities without planning ahead the how, when, where, who and why of everything. While it’s not wrong for business owners to do that, if you’re a small business with an equally small budget, you can probably hold the whole infrastructure thing until a little later. But eventually, I would say, you would want to explore the e-commerce side of things! For instance, one fine day, you might have a couple of customers who loved your hand-made bags so much that they recommended your bags to their cousins who lived on another side of the country. And you’d be thinking to yourself, “Oh damn! If I had that e-commerce thing set up, this would have been a no-brainer”. Yes, you’re right about that.

Optimize your website for the local market

 Optimize your website

Now, here’s the funny thing! People think that the moment you say SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION, it often mean worldwide marketing, everyone’s going to know your name (and the name of your small business isn’t even CHEERS) and that you’re going to get orders from Maldives the moment you start promoting your small business online!

No, no, no! It doesn’t have to be that way, let me frank with you. I mean, if you have the International exposure, it’s great, it’s fab and let’s open the wine bottle but if it doesn’t, you’re a small business, who cares, right? But did you know that you can narrow down the market the way you can narrow down the exposure for your advertising campaign. If you’re running the business strictly in New York, then market your small business for New York handbags. If you’re selling cupcakes in Miami, go for Miami home-made cupcakes internet order.

You get the picture.

So, you see, it’s not true that when you have a small business you don’t need search engine marketing. In fact, if and when you’re ready for a bigger market, at the very least the foundation is there. Light the rocket and off the ship goes, you know what I mean?.
